Staging

A vase is a container. It’s the stage on which the flowers play. That means that just like a great theatre or concert hall, it’s an instrument.

It sets tension. Fixes proportion. The vase decides how stems lean, where weight sits, it makes the difference between a bouquet that just sits there and one that makes a compelling sculptural statement.

Most home objects defer. They soften a room, ask permission, fill gaps. Sure, there is a need for these things, not every member of the orchestra can be a diva.

But special objects objects impose structure. They edit. Our smaller vases do this with very little material.

Tight volumes. Controlled curves. Abundance and restraint.

Even when empty they provide a focal highlight on a mantle, a shelf, a coffee table. But when in concert with flowers, they become something quite special. And, because it’s spring we’ve reduced them by 30%.
