The process begins with the cleaning and polishing of the glass to remove impurities and contaminants.

The back face of the glass then requires a series of coatings because silver will not bond directly with glass. The glass is then coated in silver and the metals are hardened. A layer of copper is added for durability, and then a paint coat is added to protect all of the metal coatings.

Then we flip the mirrors around and apply the raindrops to the front of the mirror, dropping epoxy resin in a naturalistic pattern based on the behaviour of water droplets on glass, before curing and hardening the mirrors.
