immerse yourself. water has such deep spiritual and aesthetic meaning for all of us that it is hard not to stumble from one cliché to the next. this is why we are looking at the work of bill viola 'the caravaggio of video art'.

his understanding of the innate meaning of water is deeply visceral. we are showcasing our DOPPLER glasses, which hold water, hot or cold, in what appears to be an air lock. we will also be having a look at what our friends and neighbors over at MITTE WATER are doing, revolutionising the idea of mineral water and purification, and killing the plastic bottle in the process.

the geometric concept for the doppler glass is one parabola suspended in another. a parabola is the natural shape related to the form described by a chain when you hang it. (catenary).

turned upside down it, it also describes the arc of an object thrown through space. a satellite dish is a flat parabola, a suspension bridge too. translated into borosilicate glass for the DOPPLER, the two lines of the silhouette suspend the water in air.

on a practical level, it keeps cool drinks cold and hot drinks hot, and saves your table from rings.
