MAY 2016 – SOL LEWITT
ARTIST THAT INSPIRED THE FUNDAMENTAL LOGO & MUCH MORE

Sol Lewitt was born in Hartford CT, USA in 1928 to Russian Jewish immigrant parents.

The textbooks say he was seminal in the emergence of minimalist and conceptual art, but what he means to us is that there is magic in primitive, almost stupid forms.

His endless patience with primary forms such as the cube or the line unlock the magic of these simple things, and return us to a state of childlike wonder, fuelling our own desire to test the limits of simple forms.

Thank you Sol.
