A surface that obeys different physics.

The Gravity Tray translates the mathematics of warped space into a functional object: a polished steel grid deformed by an invisible mass at its centre, the way a planet curves the space around it. Reflective from above, sculptural from the side. The interlocking sections are articulated, so the angle of the warp stays adjustable. The form remains alive in your hands.

It works wherever small things gather: keys and rings by the door, a watch on the nightstand, chocolates on the table. Whatever it holds sits inside the curve, at the centre of its own small gravitational field.

The Gravity Tray comes in five colourways. Two were developed on commission for the museum shops of Paris: the red-and-blue edition for the Centre Pompidou, echoing the colour-coded ducts and shafts of its famous exterior, and the green edition for the Grand Palais, in the reseda green of the ironwork beneath its glass roof. The colours that mark those buildings now mark the tray.

Material: Stainless steel, lacquered. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners, which damage the lacquer. The stainless steel version is dishwasher safe.

Dimensions: 20 × 20 × 2.5 cm, 270 g

Origin: Made in Italy, assembled in a social workshop for the disabled in Berlin.
