A surface that appears to obey different laws of physics. A cartesian grid modified by gravity: the image of a black hole. Changes appearance depending on point of view. Articulated assembly shifts between square and diamond.
The same mathematics as the original Gravity Tray, rendered in black and white, which sharpens the optical effect considerably. The warped grid reads, from certain angles, like the geometry of a black hole: a flat surface distorted by a force at its centre. The articulated sections allow the angle of the grid to be adjusted. Monochrome, but never simple.
Material: High-gloss painted stainless steel in black and white. Made in Italy, assembled by hand in Berlin. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners which may damage the lacquer finish.
