A surface that appears to obey different laws of physics. Inspired by sci-fi fantasies of bending the space-time continuum. A shiny warped grid responding to a hidden force. Interlocking pieces allow adjustment of the exact angle of the grid.
A flat grid, pulled out of flatness by something that isn't there. The Gravity Tray translates the mathematics of warped space into a functional object, a surface that appears to respond to a force no one can see. The interlocking steel sections are articulated: you can adjust the angle of the grid slightly, so the form is never entirely fixed. Reflective from above, sculptural from the side.
Material: High-gloss painted stainless steel. Assembled by hand in Berlin. Made in Italy. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners which may damage the lacquer finish.
