Gravity - Centerpiece - Black & White

A surface that appears to obey different laws of physics.  Inspired by sci-fi fantasies of bending the space-time continuum. A shiny warped grid responding to a hidden force. Interlocking pieces allow adjustment of the exact angle of the grid.

A flat grid, pulled out of flatness by something that isn't there. The Gravity Centerpiece translates the mathematics of warped space into a functional object, a surface that appears to respond to a force no one can see. The interlocking steel sections are articulated: you can adjust the angle of the grid slightly, so the form is never entirely fixed. Reflective from above, sculptural from the side.
